Who is Mike's Bikes?

Mike's Bikes was founded in 1964 as one of Marin County's very first Schwinn shops. It is rumored that our store in San Rafael was home to some of the first mountain bikes in the country. Cycling has changed dramatically as the decades have rolled by, but Mike's Bikes has never wavered from our total dedication to the sport.

Today, Mike's Bikes is a growing family of bike shops, all with a singular purpose - to get as many people on bikes as possible. We operate 14 wildly successful stores in Northern California, a thriving E-Commerce business, and now we welcome 4 like-minded stores in Colorado to the family!

Our professional staff of over 300 cycling enthusiasts will ensure that your experiences both in the store and on your bike are the best they can be.

1. What is happening to the elevationcycles.com website?

We have been hard at work on a new, easier shopping experience you will love! We will be closing down the elevationcycles.com website, and all inventory will now be available through mikesbikes.com. Now we’re going to be able to meet you where you want to be! If you want to come into our stores and have a great retail experience, that will still be there. However, if you would also like to research or shop in the comfort of your home, our great product selection will be there with an excellent online support team.

We’re excited for you to experience mikesbikes.com, which offers a seamless ordering experience with the same level of service we deliver in-store!

2. Do I still have a customer account?

As part of the overall change, you’ll need to create a new customer account when shopping on mikesbikes.com. However, we still have all of your purchase history dating back from 2012.

3. Will I still be able to use my 5 years of free tune-ups?

Yes. We will honor all 5-years of free tune-ups from bikes purchased from Elevation Cycles through 2022.

4. What brands will you carry?

We carry Cannondale, Santa Cruz, Pivot, Cervelo, Yeti, Giant, Orbea, Public and NS Bikes. While some of our brands have changed our intention has always been, and will always be, to serve the needs of our customers first. We believe part of taking care of you, our customer, is by offering the widest selection of exceptional brands and we feel confident you'll find the exact bike to suit your needs here at Mike's Bikes!

5. What is available in store?

We will continue to carry some of our favorite brands like Pivot, Yeti, Giro, etc. but you will also see some new brands such as Santa Cruz, Cervelo, Cannondale, Gazelle and more. Our website will show you what is available in Colorado and what can be shipped to you. If the item is in Colorado, you are able to buy online and pick it up in the store that is closest to you.

6. Will the faces be the same?

While the name on the store has changed, the faces and names within remain the same. We were acquired because of our unparalleled ability to serve our community. So yes, we're the same folks who got your child on their first bike, fitted you for your new road bike and set your suspension on your new full squish. As always, we're looking forward to seeing you again, so c'mon in!

7. Do you ship direct?

In fact we do! We offer free UPS ground shipping on all orders over $49 to all customers within the contiguous US. The best way to determine your options is to add your items to the cart and proceed with the checkout process.

Cannondale, Santa Cruz, Juliana, Gazelle, BMC, and *other bikes ship for FREE, but Wheelsmith Gold Label Assembly will be added at checkout for only $79 (reg. $100) to cover the professional bike build and re-packaging by our certified technicians.

8. Will my Elevation Cycles gift card still work?

Yes! Your Elevation Cycles gift cards will work at the 4 Colorado locations as well as on mikesbikes.com!
