Continental Gator Hardshell Tires are designed with Hardshell-ProTection to provide puncture protection and plenty of mileage. A wider PolyX Breaker and a three ply carcass make these hardshell tires puncture-resistant, so they can take on rough surfaces and rugged tarmac.

Duraskin sidewall protection, in addition to Hardshell features, provides a durable, high-performance tire suited to athletic urban riding styles
Hardshell protection consists of casing-ply overlap covering more of the sidewall than normal, plus an extra-wide PolyX breaker
An extra-wide PolyX Breaker sits under the tread center and shoulders, making these tires reliable in an urban setting
The 3-ply carcass, each layer with 60 TPI, covers the entire tire
