The Minion DHX was born specifically from the demands of Maxxis’ top athletes to provide more support, more control, and more confidence on next-level modern DH race tracks. Featuring an improved dual-ply casing structure, compound compositions and tread layout, the next generation Minion DHX provides an unparalleled combination of grip and support in fast and / or high load conditions.

More side knob support to keep knobs from folding at the base, with low depth sipes to allow for surface conformation
Intuitive handling characteristics with smooth transition from center to side knobs
Comparable rolling speed and braking power as DHR II but with increased stability and a smoother transition to cornering knobs
Front and rear versatility
3C MaxxGrip compound uses the stickiest, slowest rebounding rubber offered by Maxxis to provide lots of traction on the trail
New DH Casing provides more puncture protection and durability, while achieving improved compliance over chattery rocks and roots for better support under high cornering loads and impacts
This improved progressive casing stiffness favors performance over sidewall stability or rim strike prevention, allowing for lower pressures (2–3 psi less than previous gen DH casing), resulting in slower tire rebound and more planted, damped feel
