Super Commuter: Tired of sitting in traffic? Yeah, we are, too. The Eclipse makes commuting fast and fun - And, oh yeah, sweat-free. The powerful Bosch motor and massive battery mean you can whoosh along with minimal effort at 28mph using the bike lanes and backroads to get where you need to go. That big battery also helps with range. Unless you're commuting 40+ miles one-way to work, there is no need to charge mid-day. With a commute under 10 miles, you can leave the bike off the charge most of the week.

Car Avoidant: If you're on this page, you probably know the statistic that 63% of car trips are under 5 miles and that the average person spends 55 minutes (!!!) in a car every day. Are you looking to lower those numbers for yourself? HUGE RANGE

The Eclipse is the first Class 3 model in the Gazelle lineup to feature Bosch's updated Smart System with a battery capacity of 750Wh. With this, mid to long range trips can be achieved effortlessly.

Worried about where you're going? Leave your phone in your pocket and follow turn-by-turn navigation on the Eclipse's full-color screen.

ON-BOARD SECURITY

Battery & Motor

Featuring the largest battery in the Gazelle lineup, the Eclipse boasts a 750Wh battery that gives you up to 80 miles of range on a single charge. Pair that with the 85Nm Bosch Performance Speed series motor; the Eclipse can cruise at speeds up to 28mph (Class 3).

Bosch Display Unit

Using the Bosch Kiox 300 display, the Eclipse has a simple-to-use, full-color dashboard to let you know everything about your ride. Beyond displaying basic ride metrics such as speed and distance, the Kiox system offers real-time range estimation for each power mode, enabling you to monitor the remaining distance on a charge. Moreover, it provides turn-by-turn navigation, eliminating the need to retrieve your phone from your pocket when navigating to a new location.

Security

Gazelle has always been a master with their clever "Cafe Lock." This convenient locking mechanism seamlessly integrates into the bike's frame, enabling riders to secure the rear wheel effortlessly when stepping away. Need additional security? The lock can also be combined with a chain to tether the bike to a rack or street fixture. For extra peace of mind, the Gazelle Eclipse is compatible with Bosch's GPS Connect moudle (not included), allowing owners to locate their bike in the unfortunate event of theft.

Drivetrain

Like many of the Gazelle models, the Eclipse comes in two drivetrain options: the belt-drive internal hub and standard chain-drive derailleur. For low maintenance and durability, the Eclipse features a belt-drive version with a Enviolo Trekking hub. With a long-lasting carbon belt drive, this setup keeps the bike's rear end clean. Stepless shifting allows for seamless gear transitions, eliminating the need for traditional gear changes. Riders looking for a slightly less expensive option with more traditional tuning can opt for models with Shimano 11-speed rear derailleurs. Easy to use, just like you'd expect.

SEATING POSITION

Bicycles with a comfortable upright riding position and usually a low step-through frame are designed for relaxing rides through the city or a pleasant ride out in nature. The sportier bikes with an active riding position are ideal for longer trips or to ride to and from work as smoothly as possible.

FRAME SIZING

If you're on the cusp between the recommended height range of two sizes, the absolute best thing is to try to ride them both. At a minimum, check the stack/reach measurements on your current bike and compare it to the new model you are looking at to get an idea of a fit you are already comfortable with.
