THE ALL-NEW

CERVÉLO S5

FASTER IN EVERY DIRECTION

The Cervélo S5 has always been a fixture at the front of the professional Peloton, from Wout van Aert’s dominant Green Jersey win to Simon Yates in the maglia rosa. Now, the new S5 pushes that advantage even further—6.3 watts faster, 124 grams lighter, stiffer where it counts, and sharper in the corners.

Every element has been re-engineered as a complete aero system, from the deeper fork and headtube profiles to the fully integrated, one-piece HB19 cockpit and new Reserve 57|64 wheels pairing.

Every line is faster. Every detail matters.

WHO IS THE RIDER?

The Segment Hunter: You warm up for PRs and plan your week around wind direction. KOMs, city limit sprints, chasing watts—it’s all part of the fun. But you’re not just about speed in a straight line; you dive corners like it’s the last lap of a crit. You want a bike that’s fast, connected, and feels just as good after four hours as it does in the first ten minutes.

The All-Day Racer: You may not race every weekend, but you ride like you do. Every group ride is a low-key segment, and every climb feels like an opportunity. You want a bike that’s stiff in the sprint, confident in the corners, and smooth enough to ride all week without a mechanic on speed dial. It has to feel fast, but never fragile.

WHAT WE LOVE

All-out aero, refined integration, and real performance gains—here are a few standout features we're most excited about.

INTEGRATED ONE-PIECE COCKPIT

The newly redesigned HB19 cockpit improves fit and aerodynamics with a sleeker shape, narrower hoods, and a modernized drop. Clean lines, full control, and sprint-ready stiffness.

MORE AERO, LESS DRAG

The new S5 is 6.3 watts faster than its predecessor and 8.7 watts faster than the nearest competitor. Every tube shape, fork, and line was reengineered to cheat the wind.

LIGHTER WHERE IT COUNTS

A 124g reduction in system weight makes the S5 faster on climbs and every acceleration. Despite the savings, stiffness remains unchanged—thanks to refined layups and structural updates to the frame, seatpost, and handlebar.

Aero, Upgraded

The new S5 uses deeper airfoil profiles and sharper trailing edges across the frame, fork, and cockpit to reduce drag and increase speed in real-world riding conditions. The head tube and fork feature extended chord lengths for improved airflow, while the redesigned cockpit and Reserve 57|64 wheels work together as a complete aero system.

The S5 is now 6.3w faster than the outgoing model and 8.7 watts over the nearest competitor. It’s speed you can feel, from the first pedal stroke to the finish line.

One-Piece HB19 Handlbar & Stem

The redesigned HB19 cockpit takes everything riders loved about the previous S5 bar and makes it faster, sleeker, and more refined. A larger V-stem opening improves airflow through the front end, reducing drag and keeping the system clean and efficient at high speed.

The updated shaping also brings a narrower hood position, modernized drop ergonomics, and improved stability during sprints and hard cornering. Best of all, it’s fully backwards compatible, so your current S5 can upgrade to the latest performance

Integrated Speed

The S5 isn’t just fast on its own—it’s fast as a system. The new Reserve 57|64 wheels were developed alongside the frame, featuring deeper profiles and a cambered airfoil design that smooths airflow at high yaw angles. The asymmetric seat tube wraps around the rear wheel for a tighter, more aerodynamic interface, minimizing drag. Together, the frame and wheels work as one to reduce resistance, increase stiffness, and deliver maximum speed where it matters most—out on the road, not just in the wind tunnel.

Geometry That Handles

The S5's handling has been refined around modern 29mm tires, with a 2mm lower bottom bracket that improves cornering confidence and lowers the center of gravity, while the increased fork offset sharpens steering response without compromising straight line speed. Best of all, the fit geometry remains unchanged—so you get all the handling benefits without having to rethink your position on the bike. It’s the same fit, with even better control.

FRAME SIZING

If you're on the cusp between the recommended height range of two sizes, the absolute best thing is to try to ride them both. At a minimum, check the reach/stack measurements on your current bike and compare it to the new model you are looking at to get an idea of a fit you are already comfortable with.

If riding the bike is not an option, our Customer Service can help you identify a size more specific to your body type. Call us at (866) 600-BIKE.

The Cervélo S5 is available in sizes 48cm - 61cm.

BODY DIMENSIONS

Not all bodies at a given height are the same. If you have longer legs and a shorter torso than the average person your height, that may push you towards the smaller of the recommended sizes. If you're all torso and arms, most likely you'll want to size up.
