THE ALL-NEW

CERVÉLO ÁSPERO-5

DESIGNED TO WIN, NOT WANDER

In 2019, Áspero changed the way we thought about gravel racing. Now, the Áspero-5 takes that legacy and pushes it further with a design built for pure speed — engineered in the wind tunnel and tested on the toughest courses. It's lighter, faster, and more refined than ever. With 37 watts of aero savings over its predecessor and 34 watts over the competition, it's not just fast—it's the fastest.

Every detail is dialed for pure performance, with integrated storage, increased tire clearance, and a completely redesigned cockpit that keeps things cleaner and customizable, while maximizing aero efficiency. No compromises, no fluff.

This is the new benchmark in performance gravel.

WHO IS THE RIDER?

The Gravel Racer: You line up at Mid South, BWR, and SBT-Gravel with a number plate and full intent to podium. Every watt matters, and you obsess over tire pressure, gear ratios, and finish times. You need a bike that’s as dialed as your race calendar—fast, efficient, and aero-optimized for when success is measured in seconds, not miles.

The Tech-Obsessed Tinkerer: You love a clean build and a fast setup, and you’re not afraid to swap stems or optimize your chainline on a Saturday night. Áspero-5’s fully internal routing, modular cockpit, and threaded T47A bottom bracket give you the perfect platform to chase performance and dial in every detail.

WHAT WE LOVE

Whether you're lining up at SBT GRVL or just hunting KOMs, the new Áspero-5 brings aero efficiency and smart versatility to every ride— here are a few standout features we're most excited about.

AERODYNAMICS

The visual connection between S5 & Áspero-5 silhouette is no accident. Engineered with aero learnings from the S5, including a matching top tube angle and wheel cutout, Áspero-5 slices through wind on any terrain.

NEXT-GEN COCKPIT

With adjustable bearing caps and a modular handlebar system (internal or semi-internal), the Áspero-5’s cockpit adapts seamlessly to your ride—no messy cables, no recabling required when changing stem height.

IN-FRAME STORAGE

The in-frame storage system is the lightest and fastest on the market—60g of sleek utility that adds no drag and actually contributes to frame stiffness.

Unmatched Aero Performance

Engineered with learnings from Cervélo’s S5 road platform, the Áspero-5 is designed to lead, not follow. It’s 37 watts faster than the previous generation and is 34 watts faster than its nearest competitor in controlled wind tunnel testing—an edge that matters at real-world gravel race speeds (21–24 mph).

A deeper bottom bracket, refined wheel cutout, and sleeker tube shaping work together to reduce drag without compromising ride quality. Paired with a fully integrated front end, the result is a gravel bike that punches above its weight in every breakaway and sprint.

Pro-Level Adjustability

With the HB16 bar and ST31 stem, the Áspero-5 delivers the most aerodynamic and adjustable cockpit on the gravel market—complete with full aerobar compatibility for total race-day control. A wide range of handlebar sizes ensures a race-ready fit for every rider, while modular routing options (internal or semi-internal) keep the front end clean and streamlined.

Adjustable bearing caps make it easy to fine-tune your position without the hassle of recabling, making it as versatile as it is fast. The T47A threaded bottom bracket boosts power transfer and stability while making service easier—turning watts into wins with every pedal stroke.

Tire & Drivetrain Clearance

The Áspero-5 clears up to 45mm tires and supports up to a 52T chainring, giving you the freedom to ride your way—from loose corners to fast flats. UDH compatibility and space for dual-sided power meters ensure it’s ready for modern drivetrains and the demands of top-tier racing. It’s versatility without compromise, so you can focus on the ride, not what’s holding you back

Mixed & Matched Tire Geometry

Áspero-5’s geometry is tuned for speed and precision on any terrain. Run matched tires front and rear for stable, confidence-inspiring handling on rough, technical courses—or opt for a mixed tire setup (e.g. 40mm front, 44mm rear) to sharpen handling and reduce aero drag on faster, less technical terrain. It’s quick when you want it, steady when you need it.

FRAME SIZING

If you're on the cusp between the recommended height range of two sizes, the absolute best thing is to try to ride them both. At a minimum, check the reach/stack measurements on your current bike and compare it to the new model you are looking at to get an idea of a fit you are already comfortable with.

If riding the bike is not an option, our Customer Service can help you identify a size more specific to your body type. Call us at (866) 600-BIKE.

The Cervélo Áspero-5 is available in sizes 48cm - 61cm.

FRAME GEOMETRY

The Áspero features a long top tube and front center that allows the rider to have a roomy cockpit while running a relatively short stem. That shorter stem paired with a lower trail number offers fast and responsive handling despite the added grip of bigger tires. Stability on the rough stuff comes from a slack headtube angle and long (compared to road bikes) chain stays that keep the bike tracking in even the deepest gravel trap.
