Frequently Asked Questions

Who are your trade-in partners?

We work with Bicycle Blue Book for all non-electric bike trade-ins and Upway for electric bike trade-ins.

Can any bicycle be traded in?

Trade-in eligibility and valuation depend on your bike’s condition. Please refer to Upway and Bicycle Blue Book for detailed trade-in criteria. We do not accept bikes with issues that compromise safety or make them unsellable, including:

  • Structural damage to the frame
  • Cracked or dented rims
  • Significant paint damage
  • Missing or non-functional components, including drivetrains and e-bike batteries

The better the condition, the higher the potential trade-in value. If you are unsure of your eligibility, please contact your local store!

*We no longer accept kids' bikes (12", 14", 16", 20", or 24") or any bikes valued under $500 through our trade-in program.

How long does it take to receive an estimate?

Non-Electric Bikes:

Use Bicycle Blue Book to estimate the trade-in value of your bike. In most cases, you'll receive a instant trade-in offer. Final trade-in value is determined upon in-person inspection.

Electric Bikes:

Use Upway to estimate the trade-in value of your bike. In most cases, you’ll receive an offer within 48 hours, though additional time may be needed for lesser-known brands. You can also request an estimate over the phone by providing the make, model, style, original purchase price, and model year. Final trade-in value is determined upon in-person inspection.

How long does it take to received my trade-in credit?

As long as we have all the necessary parts included for the trade-in bike, we can immediately apply the credit directly to the purchase of your new bike.

What else should I know?

Trade-in values are not guaranteed and may be adjusted upon inspection. Bikes and e-bikes must be in good working condition and include all essential components—such as chargers, keys, and any other necessary parts. Missing items or functional issues may result in a revised offer or an offer being amended. A valid U.S. driver’s license or passport is required to complete the trade-in.
