Deore M6000 for a pre-ordred Roll Elite

"Purchased this for a Roll Elite I have ordered with Mike's Bikes in San Jose that I intend to convert to a 1x10 close ratio setup. I did the upgrade to my Rockhopper 29 purchased in 2020 and this shifter is much more precise than the Tourney TX 8 speed that cam with the bike, or even the Advent that is on my wife's Low Entry Roll Elite. Very easy to do as a DIY, with great instructions, but maybe not for the faint of heart. Pictures are of my Rockhopper with the mods."

Is this shifter for the left or the right hand side of the handles bars?: This shifter mounts on the right side of the bars and actuates the rear derailleur.
