Sharrows first appeared in Denver in the 1990s, but the word itself (a portmanteau of “share” and “arrow”) was coined in San Francisco in the early 2000s. It is a road marking in the form of two inverted V-shapes above a bicycle, indicating which part of a road should be used by cyclists when the roadway is shared with motor vehicles.
3M reflective material is used for all logo treatments- it is a friendly reminder that "sharing is caring" when it comes to cyclists and cars on the same road.
