Product Details

2015 Surly Big Dummy

Simply put, Surly's Big Dummy is designed for carrying cargo in style, and lots of it. And, it even comes with Xtracycle's rack and bags so you can haul just about anything: groceries, laundry, camping gear, you name it. You'll enjoy great maneuverability and cargo capacity without the length or sway of a trailer, or the strain of a backpack. Crafted from Surly's favored chromoly tubing, the bike is responsive and smooth riding. The Big Dummy features quality Alex/Shimano wheels, a Truvativ/Shimano triple drivetrain for easy climbing even when you're carrying that heavy load. Avid mechanical-disc brakes provide all-weather stopping power and bring that heavy load to a stop. The Big Dummy hauls up to 400 pounds (rider and cargo weight).

    Comments:

It has been a grocery getter and a casual ride bike. It is now my bike to campsite bike. I take it out as much as I do the other bikes because I simply like the way that it shifts and stops. I thank you guys for letting me test drive it. I fell in love instantly.
