Speedplay's X/1 Titanium pedals are super-light and a great upgrade for your dream road bike. They provide knee-saving unlimited float without the self-centering action inherent in most pedals, so your knees don't have to work against spring tension. They also boast needle and dual cartridge bearings for smooth spinning, while their dual-sided design offers extremely easy entry and exit. A compact, low profile positions your feet closer to the axles for maximum power transmission and unmatched cornering clearance.

Comments:

Excellent for the knee from orthopaedic standpoint. I recommend them all the time, or stainless or Cr-mo. Have used for 20 years with occasional cleat or spindle replacement. Right pedal original equipment. Left wears most quickly as it is, typically, the side that one clips in and out of most often.
