      Comments:

I bought my Roubaix in August 2009, and received an excellent fitting in my LBS. After several rides, I found that I needed a minor seat adjustment. Other than that, I have had no problems at all. I am returning to serious riding after many years and have found it to be very comfortable for my 50+ age category. I put about 350 hilly miles on it before winter temperatures set in, and am very satisfied with all the components. I plan to try winter riding on non-snowy/icy roads if possible.

      Comments:

I use this bike for 10-25 mile rides daily and the periodic 50-65 mile ride on the weekends. I really enjoy this bike. Quite responsive and the Shimano 105 components work well with my riding needs. Great entry level road bike to get back into riding routine. After not riding for awhile, the seat definitely took some getting used to in the first few weeks. Great gearing w/ 30 gear options. Nice and light weight wise and also in the wallet. Tires will probably need upgrade. Overall, a bike I would recommend to friends or riders alike.

      Comments:

I bought this bike on June 30th/ 09. I am 6 foot and weigh about 166 lbs. Also 60 years old. Regular cyclist for 20 years, about 30 to 40 miles/ week in winter; 50- 60 miles/ wk in summer. I also do one long trip every so often. I tested mainly Trek 1 and 2 model series, and Allez bikes too. Shopped for about a month. I bought the Roubaix because of the edge in control I felt it gave me, ease for speed AND the great price for a carbon frame. It is now July 21st and I already put on about 300 miles, 200 on a trip from which I just returned. Unfortunately (and unforeseeably) I had to go on gravel and crushed stones on this trip for several hours and still this bike held amazingly to its tune-up at sale. The wheels remain true, the tires remain at full pressure, no brakes rubbing against the wheel. The hill climbing is phenomenal, truly. It is a lot of fun to ride! A classy looking and well built machine. You can adjust seat level and handle bars to several heights and positions (Suggest you buy compact allen key unit $35). I love it. AN IMPROVEMENT MIGHT BE be a softer seat BUT I only felt the problem on this recent trip, after hours on the bike on the unforeseeably rugged roads...with a 10 lb. back pack. As far as I'm concerned, this road bike is EXTREMELY durable and well built. HIGH RECOMMENDATION!

I love riding this bike. I am a bigger person and this bike is amazing on the road, it climbs well and is very smooth. The best place to buy it is at Pulse Endurance! Thanks Pulse for getting me back out on the road!

        Comments:

Zertz softens up the ride with little impact to responsiveness. It's fairly light, I had the 2007 model (~17.8 pounds). My previous bike was cro-mo @ 24.7 pounds - quite a difference. I've test ridden several bikes and the Madone was the only one that I rode which was more responsive. It was hard to believe until I rode it. Great for racing on rough roads. Good control and confidence in the turns. I've ridden this up to 105 miles and never feel beaten up or stretched out. Geometry is not aero for pure racers. Mine came with a 28-12 cassette on the back - which is not geared for speed when combined with the compact crank, so I went with a 25-11 cassette. If you want a ride that goes fast, but is comfortable on long rides (particularly the back) - this is it.

        Comments:

The Zertz inserts are extremely nice. I rode some Trek equivalents prior to purchasing this and this bike was way smoother. Runs quick too. Acceleration and brakes could be a bit better, but for the price this bike is well worth.
